Prescription Pets has been bringing the healing power of pets to communities in Northern California since the year 2000. Our volunteer, dog therapy teams are trained for animal-assisted activities and as Reading Education Assistance Dogs® (R.E.A.D ®) teams. We have teams that visit many locations around Northern California including; Mercy Medical Center in Redding, St. Elizabeths Hospital in Red Bluff, Mercy Mt. Shasta, The Vistas, Le Brun Residential Care, Quartz Hill Post Acute Care, Oakmont, and the Reddding Library and various schools for R.E.A.D.®.
